What an affiliate link is

When you click "Get bonus" on a review or use one of our promo codes, the site you land on can pay us a commission for the referral. It costs you nothing. In most cases our negotiated codes give you a bigger starting bonus than signing up directly, because we agree those terms with the sites up front. Affiliate links here carry a rel="sponsored" tag, which is the machine-readable version of this page.

What a commission doesn't buy

• A score. Ratings come from testing (how we rank describes the process), and partner sites have lost points and been delisted the same as everyone else.
• A place on a list. Rankings are ordered by rating, not by commission.
• Silence. When readers report payout problems, it goes into the review whether or not the site is a partner.

What money does buy

Nothing on the editorial side. Display ad space is sold separately and labelled as advertising. Reviews, scores and ranking positions are not for sale, and never have been.
