The rundown

SellYourSkins is a one-way cash-out site: you take an instant, guaranteed offer for CS2, Rust, Dota 2 and Team Fortress 2 items and pick a payout method, with no listings and no waiting for a buyer. Its terms are the most detailed of any skin cash-out site we have read, and section 7.8 states plainly that the operator deducts no fee of its own from the quote - only the payment provider's charge comes off. The catch is that the quote itself is where the margin lives, and the three minimum values that gate a payout are published inside the sell flow rather than in the terms. As of 1 September 2026 the service is run by a Polish company, Digital Traders sp. z o.o., which is a meaningful change if you have older transactions outstanding.

  • Section 7.8 commits in writing that no operator fee is deducted from the quoted payout
  • Terms of Service set hard deadlines: payout as a rule within 3 business days, and a right to rescind if it is not initiated within 10
  • Wide payout choice including PayPal, bank transfer, cards, Revolut and crypto, with the third-party fee disclosed before you commit
  • Operated under Polish and EU consumer law by a named company with a public KRS number
  • Bonus level ladder never resets, so a returning seller keeps the rate they earned

Cons

  • The margin sits inside the quoted price, which is never broken out - "no fee" is not the same as "no cost"
  • Three separate minimums gate every payout and none of the figures appear in the terms, only in the sell flow
  • Bonus level percentages are not published, so you cannot compare rates before signing in
  • Payout waits on Valve's Trade Protection Hold, so this is never a same-day cash-out
  • A change of operator on 1 September 2026 split responsibility for older transactions to a different company

SellYourSkins does one thing. You sign in with Steam, it values your CS2, Rust, Dota 2 and Team Fortress 2 items, you accept a guaranteed offer, and you pick how you want to be paid. There is no marketplace, no listing and no waiting for a buyer, which is the whole point of the site and also the reason its pricing needs checking.

The site has run since 2018. What makes it worth a close read in 2026 is not the interface but the paperwork behind it, which is more specific about money than almost anything else in this category.

Who operates SellYourSkins?

This changed recently, and it matters. A change-of-operator notice published on 26 July 2026 states that from 1 September 2026 the service is run by Digital Traders sp. z o.o., ul. Stefana Batorego 18/108, 02-591 Warsaw, Poland, with company registration number KRS 0001253066 and tax ID NIP 7011322455.

The notice is clear about the split. Transactions concluded on or before 31 August 2026, including payouts for items sold then, are performed and settled by the previous operator, SKINFINITY.GG, registration number 386079755. Claims about those sales go to the old operator, not the new one. If you sold something in August 2026 and are still chasing it, that is the address you need.

A new Terms of Service and Privacy Policy took effect on the same date, and the current terms are dated 1 September 2026.

Does SellYourSkins charge a fee?

The homepage claims "Zero hidden fees" and "The price you see is the price you get". That is marketing copy, but unusually, the terms back it:

7.8 We deduct no fee of our own from the Quote: the amount stated in the payout summary before you accept the trade offer is the amount you are to receive.

Section 7.8 goes on to say that where a third-party payment service provider charges a fee for your chosen method, that fee is deducted from the payout and disclosed before you commit, and that independent costs such as your own bank's charges sit outside the operator's control.

Read that carefully, because it is precise rather than generous. The operator takes nothing off the quote after you accept. It says nothing about how the quote is calculated, and on an instant-sell site the margin is the gap between the quote and what the item is worth on an open market. "No fee" describes the deduction, not the price.

Two entries there are the ones to plan around. The minimums are real gates: section 7.11 sets a minimum value per individual item, a minimum for the transaction and a minimum for your chosen payout method, and the higher of the last two becomes your effective minimum payout. Everything is applied in US dollars, and the actual numbers only appear on the sell page. If you have a handful of cheap items, check the per-item minimum before you plan around them.

The bonus ladder is the other. It runs ten levels, from The Egg to The Final Boss, and the site states the level never resets and that each one raises the payout rate on every future sale. The rates themselves are not published anywhere public, so you cannot compare a level-8 rate against another site's flat percentage without an account.

How long does the money take?

Longer than "instant", because Valve is in the way. Every item you send sits under Steam's Trade Protection Hold, and the terms define the payout trigger as the last of three events: the sale being concluded, the hold expiring on every item in that sale, and verification completing positively. Once all three have happened, the payout is initiated as a rule within 3 business days.

Verification can push it further. Section 7.10 allows a deferral for as long as the check needs, as a rule no longer than 3 business days, and caps the whole thing at 45 days from the sale unless the law requires longer.

There is a corresponding right in your favour, which is rarer than it should be. Under section 12.7 you may rescind a concluded sale if the payout has not been initiated within 10 business days of the latest of those same events. That gives you a concrete deadline to point at rather than an open-ended wait.

What are the account requirements?

  • 18 or over with full legal capacity
  • Steam account at least one month old, meeting the minimum Steam level published on the site
  • Valid trade link and accurate payment details

Verification is not optional and not cosmetic. Section 13 sets out an AML, KYC and anti-fraud policy adopted on 27 July 2026, applied alongside EU and UN restrictive measures and the Polish sanctions list. Every transaction is checked, partly automatically, and the operator can request your name, date of birth, country, address, phone number and in limited cases a passport, national ID or driving licence. Refuse a properly requested check and the offer is declined or the sale is rescinded, with your items returned once the Steam hold expires.

Who should use it?

It suits someone cashing out a mid-sized inventory who wants a fixed number before committing and a paper trail if something goes wrong. The complaints route, the rescission right, the 45-day outer limit and the 10% cap on transfer costs are all written down, which is unusual, and being a Polish company brings EU consumer protections that most competitors in this space have arranged their corporate structure to avoid.

It suits a price-hunter less well. An instant offer is a convenience product, and you pay for convenience in the spread. If you have time and a liquid skin, listing it on an open marketplace will generally beat any instant quote. Compare the offer against a public price index before you accept, because that comparison is the only fee disclosure this model can give you.

SellYourSkins FAQ

Does SellYourSkins take a cut of your payout?

Section 7.8 of the Terms of Service states: "We deduct no fee of our own from the Quote: the amount stated in the payout summary before you accept the trade offer is the amount you are to receive." Where a third-party payment provider charges a fee for your chosen method, that fee is deducted and disclosed before you commit. The operator's own margin is built into the quoted price instead.

How long does a SellYourSkins payout take?

Under section 7.9 the payout is initiated once the sale is concluded, Steam's Trade Protection Hold has expired on every item in the sale, and verification has passed - as a rule within 3 business days of the last of those events. A verification hold can add up to another 3 business days, and never more than 45 days from the sale unless the law requires it.

Is there a minimum payout on SellYourSkins?

Yes, three of them. Section 7.11 sets a minimum value per individual item, a minimum for the transaction as a whole and a minimum for the payout method you choose; the higher of the last two is your effective minimum payout. The figures are published on the site and shown in the sell flow rather than in the terms, and they are applied in US dollars.

Who operates SellYourSkins now?

Since 1 September 2026 the service has been operated by Digital Traders sp. z o.o., ul. Stefana Batorego 18/108, 02-591 Warsaw, Poland, KRS 0001253066. Transactions concluded on or before 31 August 2026, including payouts for items sold then, remain with the previous operator, SKINFINITY.GG.

What do you need on your Steam account to sell?

You must be at least 18 with full legal capacity, your Steam account must be at least one month old and meet the minimum Steam level published on the site, and the items must clear Valve's Trade Protection Hold before the payout is initiated.
